El Pozo Viejo Overview
El Pozo Viejo (The Old Well) is situated on the charming Altamirano Square - right behind the Church of the Incarnation in Marbella´s Old Town. The building itself is more than 500 years old - now converted into one of the best Spanish restaurants in the area with typical Andalucian patio inside.
The owner, Jaime Carbrerizo, born in northern Spain, well known ex bull-fighter, decorator and antiquarian is dedicated to preserving the traditional atmosphere and dishes from Basque region as well as those of the southern region of Andalucia.
Regular guests of El Pozo Viejo are Mayors of Marbella, famous bull-fighters, flamenco dancers, musicians and others who appreciate great dining combined with Spanish culture and art.
Certain nights you can enjoy authentic flamenco dancing and poetry recitals accompanied by Spanish guitar.
With quality food and service as their priority, reasonable prices, traditional settings and unique atmosphere, I can say that El Pozo Viejo is the right place for anyone who would like to have an enjoyable and memorable experience in Old Town Marbella.

A true taste of Spain
William Genske from MarbellaA great evening out after an awards ceremony for part of our team. Jaime, the owner, is inviting, interesting and has a great sense of humour. Loved sitting outside hanging out in the old square watching the people stroll by. The Albondigas (meatballs) are to die for. If you want to get s trues sense of how the Spanish do it, check this place out.

How to get to El Pozo Viejo:
Hint: Walking through the Marbella’s Old Town sometimes can make you feel a little bit disoriented. The best place to park is the underground parking next to Plaza de los Naranjos (Orange Square). Once there, follow these directions:
If you go to Plaza de la Inglesia, (the big church sqaure next to Orange Square), the Church of the Incarnation tower dominates the Old Town panorama (and is visible from most parts of the Old Town). Just around the Church to the south (towards the sea) you will find yourself on Plaza Altamirano where El Pozo Viejo is situated.
