
The Plaza Mayor Centre near Malaga Airport features leisure, cinema and shopping activities. It has a 20 screen megaplex cinema, several nightclubs, bars, coffee shops, tapas bars and restaurants all in all over 50. There is a huge bowling and entertainment centre, a large Health & Fitness complex and over 25 shop. Plaza Mayor has been created using the traditional architecture of Andalusia. It is like a typical little Andalusia town with its streets, squares and fountains. There is ample parking outside the front of the centre which is always helpful.
The Yelmo Cinema complex has a total of 20 cinema screens with latest in digital sound and there is also a fabulous IMAX cinema for showing the latest 3D films. They also show a variety of English films every day and on an almost hourly basis. You can check the latest showing times on our

Another key attraction of Plaza Mayor is a huge play and leisure centre for all the family. It has 20 tenpin bowling alleys, several pool tables and a massive selection of arcade games. Also between the hours of 7am and 11pm you can visit the Solinca health & fitness gym with around 30 types of exercise classes on offer, including: yoga, salsa aerobic, push-power, power-bike, circuit training, aero box, and much more. Sauna, Turkish baths, massage centre, Jacuzzi, hydrotherapy tank.
Then to shopping. Well Plaza Mayor has more than 25 different shops. You find fashion at shops like Morgan, Imagine, Arlandy, Mombou, Bossini Bessell Levis store etc... The is also a large factory outlet for Nike. Finally there are many gift shops, telephone shops, sweet shops and much more.
Last and by no means least Plaza Mayor has a large array of food and drink options. There is a good range of local and international restaurants including; the grill house Foster Hollywood, Pasta and pizza at Similo Pizzeria and at Pasta City, Brazilian food at Chimarrao at Coyote Saloon. All the fast-food chains are there, Mc Donald, Burger King, KFC. At nighttime there a bars, pubs and discos that can keep you going until 6 in the morning!!!
If you are staying in Marbella for only a short time then Plaza Mayor is probably not worth the trip unless there is something special you want to see at the Cinema. However, Plaza Mayor is perfect for a little bit of shopping on route to the airport as it is only 5 minutes from the airport. If you have to check out your hotel early and have an evening flight then why not spend the day at Plaza Mayor!!
